1. Agency Relationship

The Lycian Collection acts as an agent on behalf of property owners. When you make a booking through The Lycian Collection, your rental contract is directly with the property owner, not with The Lycian Collection. We facilitate the booking process and provide support, but the legal agreement for your stay is between you and the property owner.

2. Booking and Payment

To secure your reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total rental cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to your arrival date.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or other agreed methods. Full payment details will be provided upon confirmation of your booking. If booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival, full payment is required immediately.

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing via email. The following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 8 weeks before arrival: Loss of deposit (30%)
  • 4-8 weeks before arrival: 50% of total rental cost
  • 2-4 weeks before arrival: 75% of total rental cost
  • Less than 2 weeks before arrival: 100% of total rental cost

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may require cancellation.

4. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required for all bookings. The amount varies by property and will be specified in your booking confirmation. The deposit must be paid prior to arrival and will be refunded within 7 days of departure, subject to inspection of the property. Deductions may be made for damage, excessive cleaning requirements, or missing items.

5. Occupancy and Guest Numbers

The maximum number of guests permitted at each property is specified in the property description. This number must not be exceeded without prior written consent from the property owner. Violation of occupancy limits may result in immediate termination of your rental agreement without refund.

6. Check-in and Check-out

Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability. Keys and access instructions will be provided prior to arrival.

7. Property Care and Responsibilities

Guests are expected to treat the property with respect and care, as they would their own home. You agree to:

  • Keep the property clean and in good condition
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues immediately
  • Not smoke inside the property (unless explicitly permitted)
  • Comply with local noise regulations and be respectful of neighbors
  • Ensure all doors and windows are locked when leaving the property
  • Follow any specific property rules outlined in your welcome information

8. Liability and Insurance

While we take every care to ensure properties are safe and well-maintained, neither The Lycian Collection nor the property owners accept liability for any loss, damage, or injury to guests or their belongings during their stay, except where caused by negligence. Guests are responsible for their own travel and personal property insurance.

9. Property Access and Maintenance

The property owner or their authorized representative reserves the right to access the property for essential maintenance or emergencies. Reasonable notice will be given except in urgent situations. Regular pool and garden maintenance may occur during your stay as scheduled.

10. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform any obligation due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, natural disasters, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will work with you to find a fair resolution.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process personal information necessary to manage your booking in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Your information will only be used for booking purposes and will not be shared with third parties except as necessary to fulfill your reservation (e.g., with the property owner).

12. Complaints and Disputes

If you experience any issues during your stay, please contact us immediately so we can attempt to resolve the matter promptly. Complaints made after departure may be more difficult to address. We are committed to providing excellent service and will make every reasonable effort to resolve any concerns.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from your booking or stay shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Turkish courts.
