Relax on golden sands and explore ancient ruins nearby.
About This Experience
Patara Beach stretches for 18 kilometers, making it one of Turkey's longest and most beautiful beaches. The fine golden sand, shallow warm waters, and protected dune system create an idyllic setting for a day by the sea.
This pristine beach is also a nesting site for endangered Loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta), which adds to its protected status and unspoiled nature. The beach facilities are minimal and tastefully integrated to preserve the natural environment.
Adjacent to the beach lies the ancient city of Patara, birthplace of St. Nicholas (Santa Claus). Explore the remarkably preserved Roman theatre, colonnaded street, and monumental gateway before or after your beach time.
