About This Experience
A boat trip to Kekova Island and the surrounding area is one of the most memorable experiences in the Kaş region. The main attraction is the sunken city—ancient Lycian ruins partially submerged by earthquakes in the 2nd century AD.
As you glide over the crystal-clear waters, you can see walls, staircases, and building foundations beneath the surface. The protected area prohibits swimming here, but several nearby coves offer perfect spots for swimming and snorkeling.
Most tours also visit Simena Castle (now Kaleköy village), accessible only by boat, where you can climb to a Byzantine fortress for panoramic views. The journey includes stops at secluded bays for swimming, lunch, and relaxation.
